In Wiener Neustadt, activities are centered on modern industrial technologies such as materials, process and chemical engineering, medical technology, sensory technology, actuators and surfaces. Most research activities take place under one roof: in the TFZ, or Technology and Research Center. In the immediate vicinity are the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences; the RIZ (Regional Innovation & Start-Up Center) as well as high-tech firms housed in the ecoplus business park and on the grounds of the Civitas Nova.
