- Objective 2 Program
With approximately € 188 million, this has been the most generously endowed regional support program. ecoplus supported a total of 135 projects in the areas of business-related infrastructure, Networks & Clusters as well as operational model projects such as the expansion of the Danube harbor; Regional Innovation Centers; technology centers; tourism infrastructure and model operations (winter recreational facilities, cycling paths, Erlebniswelten – "worlds of experience" – specialty hotels, spas, etc.). Thanks to projects in reserve, the average rate of approval for all ecoplus measures stands at over 104%.
- LEADER+
ecoplus supported the most projects within the framework of the Leader+ initiative. In particular, ecoplus was responsible for the implementation of projects vital to tourism. Within the Leader+ initiative, 277 (!) projects with total costs of €22m were co-financed, whereby EU co-financing means (EAGF) of around €11m were incorporated. As implementing body, ecoplus was responsible for the handling of around two-thirds of the total program volume.
- INTERREG III
In the end, ecoplus was able to utilize the INTERREG initiative to support a total of 45 cross-border projects with neighboring countries Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Examples include SPOLU – Fit for New Markets; Thaya Valley International Park; Donau-Auen National Park; DIANE – Direct Investment Agency Network.
In addition, ecoplus took part in INTERREG IIIB and C projects with other European regions, including EUROTRAD – Europe of Tradition INTERREG IIIC South (for more go to www.europetraditions.eu ) and INCLUD – INTERREG IIIB, a European cluster network.
In addition to the so-called structural funds operational programs, which may be submitted to national grant bodies as well as to ecoplus, there are numerous other EU grant programs in Brussels.
