Food Cluster of Lower Austria

The food industry is one of the most important sectors of the Lower Austrian economy.

With the Food Cluster of Lower Austria a new project platform for the native food industry was launched.

The competitiveness and innovativeness of the Lower Austrian food industry will be increased by way of several key projects.

Aims and Target Groups

Aims

Concrete key projects have been created in order to support native food operations in a sustainable manner. The aim is to increase the competitiveness and innovativeness of the Lower Austrian food industry, thereby enhancing the long-term attractiveness of Lower Austria as a business location.

    Key Projects



    Subsidised Continuing Education for HACCP and IFS
    This project supports companies in their introduction of internationally recognized quality standards.

    The "Blue-Yellow Shelf" at Food Retail
    Foodstuffs which reflect their Lower Austrian origin in an especially prominent manner will be displayed at retail on a specially-labelled "blue-yellow shelf".

    Meat Processing Quality Initiative
    This project aims to make meat processing operations more technologically advanced and supports the development of innovative new products.

    Origin Tracking in the Production Chain
    Through the introduction of an electronic product passport a unified, consistent and cross-operational tracking system is assured.
