Its location at the heart of Central Europe is a huge advantage for the Vienna International Airport in Vienna/Schwechat. Further EU expansion means its importance will continue to grow. Vienna International Airport has also become an important cargo hub connecting east and west. As well, Vienna International Airport has put more focus on new and acceding Eastern European countries than any other European airport.
