The Plastics Cluster has been dealing with the recycling of plastics for a long time, which is more than “downcycling”. These pioneering projects can now be built upon when it comes to a comprehensive transformation of the industry towards a circular economy.
Bioplastics and food packaging are two fields of activity in which profound material know-how is required in order to meet the challenges of sustainable management. The Plastics Cluster has worked intensively on both.
Toolmaking can best develop its potential when it is well integrated into the overall structure of the industry. The Plastics Cluster pursues this goal in numerous cooperation projects that make joint learning possible along the value chain.
